dead, they are stiff and hard.
Plants are born tender and pliant;

Thus whoever is stiff and inflexible
is a disciple of death.
Whoever is soft and yielding
is a disciple of life.
The hard and the stiff will be broken.
The soft and the supple will prevail.

I'd like to think every life has a path of places on Earth. It appears though that the size of those personal spaces and the limits of what feels shareable has the potential to attract much more than happiness on occassion.
