There’s a lot to be said for youthful exuberance, particularly when it’s combined with the kind of stylish and refined playing offered by the Australian Chamber Orchestra Sunday afternoon at Zellerbach Hall. The members of this superb 34-year-old ensemble are all impossibly young and athletic-looking — Richard Tognetti, their artistic director and principal violinist since 1990, is an avid surfer — and their appearance was one of the most energetic and assured by any orchestra visiting the Bay Area this season.
